The Out of School program operates after school from 2:30 to 6:00 PM and 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM in the summer and on school holidays and snow days – or when most parents must be at work. The After School Program is designed to provide children in gradesK-12 with a safe, developmentally rich environment in the hours when they are most at risk for involvement with negative behaviors and being victimized. Activities include tutoring, homework assistance, STEM education, critical thinking games, field trips…. Research shows that kids involved in out of school high yield learning perform better academically, have a better attitude toward school, and have greater self-esteem.
Fees: There will be no fee for the after school and summer programs for the 2018/2019 school year other than the registration fee.
Enrollment: Enrollment will be on a first come, first serve basis. Parents are required to pay a $25 registration fee and complete an application at the time of registration for each child. Locations include the Chapman Center, the Blackburn Center or the YMCA.
