The 26,500 sq. ft. facilities house two high school regulation gymnasiums and a multipurpose fieldhouse. In an area that relies heavily on tourism, the facility will provide a much needed boost to the area’s economy by being a regional venue for basketball, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, and events for the entire western and central Carolina, southeastern Tennessee, and southwestern Virginia region. The state of the art gymnasiums and athletic training fieldhouse will also benefit local school children and adults, providing a resource for athletic programs and training in pickleball, golf, baseball, basketball, soccer, dance, gymnastics, and volleyball. It will provide an indoor location for wellness and fitness activities in the cold, mountain winter months when outdoor activity is all but prohibitive.
